Representing both private clients and Local Planning/Highway Authorities, Gateway TSP's consultants regularly attend local hearings and Public Inquires and
provide written statements to benefit highway decision making and arbitration.
When Planning permission is refused an applicant has the right to appeal which can take the form of:
- Written Representations Appeal - a simple exchange of statements
- Local Hearing - a meeting between all parties with an Inspector
- Public Inquiry - where a professional witness provides formal evidence in court and is cross examined by counsel acting for opposing parties.
In all three cases an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State considers all evidence presented, asks his/her own questions of witnesses and views the site, before
deciding whether to allow or dismiss the appeal.
Professional Negligence and Personal Injury
An opinion of causation where redress against the Local Highway Authority or third parties may be required following a road traffic or personal injury accident.
